I play ukulele. As addictive as the habit is, it is better than smoking.
This blog provides random historical stuff about the ukulele, and it promotes a little book that I’ve written on playing that noble little instrument. The book is entitled, Make your own ukulele chord solos: a basic guide.
Of any book sold after November 2009, I will donate half the purchase price to youngcare.

If you decide not to buy my book (which is ok), please consider donating to youngcare yourself.
Enjoy your ukulele trivia posts, plus the interview about your book and technique on Ukulele Hunt website. It’s great to see so many people around the world having fun with this instrument!
thanks for dropping by!
Ethel Formby, sister of George, was my mother! Although there’s plenty on the internet about him and my WWII Battle of Britain fighter ace father Johnnie, this is the first reference I have found. Where on earth did you find it?
Hi Michael,
Happy to have been of some help. I will send you some links.
(Did you ever play banjouke?)
