Another ukulele joke from 1920

From The Mahoning Dispatch (Ohio) 9 April  1920.

A Sad Materialist

“Your favourite musical instrument is the ukulele?”
“Yes,” replied Mr. Cumrox. “It doesn’t make much  noise at best; and when you get tired of listening to it  you can demolish it without anything like the expense  that would attach to smashing a grand piano or a  good violin.”

[Update: Interesting to note that the only thing preventing Mr. Cumrox from smashing a grand piano or good violin, once he tires of such, is the monetary value attached to same. We need more expensive ukuleles, perhaps — or maybe more reasonably priced grand pianos made for smashing thereof?]
